HISTORY
In Olgiate Molgora, between via Fabbricone and Via San Primo, there was a large factory that employed generations of workers and miners, “el Fabbricon” which produced Portland cement. The factory remained operational until the middle of the last century, until June 3, 1967, when an explosion and related fire caused the death of 6 workers in Olgiate.
This incident triggered the transformation of the area into a possible residential area for the inhabitants.
